Kyungsub Shin is a photographer and artist based in Seoul, Korea. He studied photography at Kaywon University of Art & Design, and philosophy at Yonsei University. He built his experience in Hein-Kuhn Oh’s studio, working mainly on portraits. His current work focuses on diverse facets of modern society with architecture as a lens and means through which to produce and collect images. In recent years he has broadened his arena to collaborating with architects dealing with the interrelationship between architecture and society to explore hypermodernity within capitalistic society. Since 2013 he has been working with SPACE Magazine. He has exhibited at Gwangju Design Biennale in 2011, and Korean Pavilion of Venice Architecture Biennale in 2014.
